Kingston Technology Company, a world leader in memory products and technology solutions, announced today that it has sold over 100 million memory modules with overclocking capability. In 2002, Kingston entered the enthusiast market with a line of high-performance memory modules under the name Kingston HyperX. Over the next 19 years, Kingston expanded the HyperX name within the enthusiast and gaming space until the sale of its peripherals line to HP in 2021. With the astounding success of HyperX memory products, Kingston transformed the brand of its high-performance component lines into Kingston FURY, investing resources and expertise from its core businesses to create the next generation of enthusiast products. Today, the engineering expertise behind numerous awards and overclocking records continues in a new era of innovative high-performance solutions for enthusiasts and gamers.
Since its beginnings, Kingston has stood out for its innovation in industry-leading product testing and reliability. In 2005, Kingston received a US patent for the first dynamic burn-in test of its kind, which consists of applying input signals to each component while the burn-in board is exposed to extreme temperatures and voltages. This ensured maximum reliability of server memory modules used in the world’s largest data centers. Earlier this year, Kingston expanded its portfolio with the addition of Kingston FURY Renegade Pro DDR5 RDIMM, offering DDR5 memory for the workstation category with overclocking and enabling creators, engineers, and data scientists to meet the requirements of the latest applications. Likewise, its award-winning line of memory modules Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 and Renegade DDR5 were redesigned with white heat spreaders to allow users to choose the color that best suits their personal style.
“Kingston is committed to designing and manufacturing products that offer consumers unmatched style and performance,” said Kristy Ernt, DRAM business manager at Kingston. “This achievement demonstrates Kingston’s market leadership and its support for users in every segment of our industry, to whom we provide renowned customer service and products of the highest quality and reliability. It takes an entire team to achieve this milestone, so we thank and share this success with our partners, suppliers, and customers.”
