Twitter—recently rebranded as X—has launched its program to share advertising revenue with some creators around the world. Until now, the program, in its pilot phase, only allowed a few tweeters in the United States to earn money. However, from now on, creators worldwide have the opportunity to sign up to earn revenue.
Twitter shares the advertising revenue shown in the replies to each piece of content
This has been confirmed by Elon Musk, owner of Twitter-X, who has stated that more than 5 million dollars will be allocated in the first round of payments. In this first batch, content created by users since February will be included retroactively.
In any case, if you are not included in this first round of payments, don’t worry, because these will be made monthly. You must make sure to meet the requirements to access the Twitter X Creator Program. They are as follows:
Requirements to Access the Twitter X Creator Program
To be eligible, X users must meet the following conditions:
-They must be subscribers to the paid X service, now called Blue (formerly Twitter Blue), or an organization verified by the company.
-They must have at least 15 million accumulated impressions on all their posts in the last three months.
-They must have at least 500 followers.
How to Check if You Meet the Requirements for the Twitter X Creator Program
If you want to know if you meet the requirements for the Twitter X Creator Program, you just need to log in to your account on the social network.
Now go to the “Professional Tools” section and then to “Monetization.” There, under the “Ad Revenue Share” section, you will see if you meet all or only some of the characteristics mentioned above.
It should be noted that Twitter X shares a percentage of the revenue it receives from advertising in the replies to content published by those creators. That is, revenue from ads shown in the Twitter feed is excluded.
The company’s intention with this initiative is to get creators to encourage conversation on the platform by creating content that generates many replies and interactions.
