Google Beam is the evolution of Google Meet, now with 3D video calls. Through AI models that add depth and volume, it allows simulating that the interlocutors are sharing the same physical space. In addition, it offers real-time translation that adapts tone and expressions, achieving more realistic and close experiences.
Google Beam is expected to reach professional devices by the end of this year, and then expand to other services and users.
Android XR: Augmented and Mixed Reality with AI
Google also showed advances in its augmented reality platform, Android XR. Thanks to AI, it will be possible to interact with the environment through devices such as Samsung’s mixed reality glasses, planned for this year. These will allow you to take photos, display information in real time, or translate content while viewing the environment.
